Live in Berlin

Less Details

In the world of highly automated vehicles overall safety during operation is a key challenge. Everyone talks about safety as the top priority, but whether it is done in ground level is yet to be proved. The ambiguity of information exchange between AV’s behavior with surrounding users, occupants, VRUs and emergency service provider are done in bits and pieces. In this presentation, we will address overall safety during the operation of real-world case studies of an actual implementation of an unmanned shuttle program in the Netherlands and Germany.

In this talk, we will deep dive into:

  • The know-how of homologation of the world’s 1st L4 transport system without safety driver in real world operation
  • Challenges of operational safety and its relation to functional safety and SOTIF
  • Projects such as Rivium SL, a real world example, and RABus
