Johannes Schild studied technical mathematics in Karlsruhe and joined Bosch Engineering in 2004. He worked on powertrain systems as a software developer, a system developer and a project manager. In 2010, Schild switched to the safety expert profession and guided the safety concepts of the Bosch Engineering powertrain division, Hydrogen fuel cell and tank system applications and Self-driving robots in factory intralogistics.
Now, he is leading the safety and security network of Bosch Engineering as chief expert.

In my job, I am constantly putting technology to new uses, and break down the barriers between automotive, cloud/IT technology and other mobility domains like mobile industrial robots. Detecting what works well in one domain, and putting that knowledge to good use in other domains, in new prototypes and future system architectures, is what drives me and provides value to the people I work with.

The portfolio includes the development, integration and engineering of software and hardware for mobile applications. The spectrum ranges from embedded systems to cloud services. The engineering department combines the customer-specific software and system solutions with the modular system of Bosch hardware.
